After initial contact I will ask you to fill in a Client Information Card and sign the Owner’s Declaration Form which can be downloaded from this website here and email or post it back to me.
Once I have received the go ahead from your Vet, I will ring you to book our first session. This is a time to get to know your pet, yourself, as well as the environment your pet lives in.
HORSE’S LOVE BEING MASSAGED I MYSELF FIND IT VERY REWARDING
Horse’s absolutely love being massaged and I myself find it very rewarding. All sessions are tailored to the animal’s individual needs, taking into consideration any problems they may have.
Once the session is concluded I will leave you with some aftercare instructions. The number of sessions will depend on the problems that need addressing. Normally improvements will show within 3 to 4 visits, by marked musculoskeletal improvement and increased range of movement.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT 2HRS APPROXIMATELY
Gait Analysis - Visual assessment of animal in Walk/Trot/Canter (Usually taken by video and played back in “Slow-Mo” as this will show up any anomalies). I can write up my findings if required.
Palpation Assessment – This is hands on feeling down for any anomalies, this also gives me a chance to get to know the horse’s temperament and discuss with you if further sessions are required. Anything showing up in this part of the assessment will be dealt with within the ½hr massage session as required.
½hr Massage will be done to deal with any issues that have been raised in the Palpation Assessment.
